Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026 — for a demonstration trading platform, not a live regulated brokerage.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Horizon Capital collects, why we collect it, how it's used, and the choices and rights you have over it. It applies to anyone who visits this website or uses the trading platform.

1. Information we collect

Account and verification data

Name, date of birth, email, phone number, country of residence, and — where required for identity verification (KYC) and anti-money-laundering checks — a copy of a government-issued ID and proof of address.

Trading and financial data

Deposit and withdrawal history, positions and orders placed, account balances, and the payment method details needed to process a transaction.

Usage and device data

Pages visited, features used, log-in timestamps, IP address, browser and device type, and similar technical data collected automatically when you use the Services.

Cookies

Small files stored in your browser to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the platform is used in aggregate. Essential cookies can't be disabled without breaking core functionality (like staying logged in); analytics cookies can usually be limited through your browser settings.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and operate your account, and to provide the trading platform itself.
  • To verify your identity and meet our anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer obligations.
  • To process deposits, withdrawals, and trades.
  • To communicate with you about your account, security, and material changes to the Services.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To understand how the platform is used, so it can be improved.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only where necessary to actually run the Services — payment processors to move funds, identity-verification providers to run KYC checks, and cloud infrastructure providers to host the platform — each bound to only use the data for the purpose we've engaged them for. We may also disclose information where required by law, to a regulator or law-enforcement request, or in connection with a merger or acquisition of our business. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

We keep account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a further period afterward as required by applicable financial record-keeping and anti-money-laundering rules. Data collected only for a specific purpose — like a support request — is retained only as long as needed for that purpose.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you're located, you generally have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
  • Object to, or request that we restrict, certain processing.
  • Request a portable copy of your data.
  • Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent, at any time.

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and two-factor authentication on account access to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat account security as a first-class part of the platform, not an afterthought.

7. International transfers

Because our infrastructure providers operate globally, your information may be processed in a country other than the one you reside in. Where that happens, we require appropriate safeguards to be in place consistent with applicable data protection law.

8. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under the age of 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email before they take effect.

10. Contact
